Professor Felix Fernley’s Curious Plants Letter Kit

Professor Felix Fernley’s Curious Plants Letter Kit

Something unusual is growing in Professor Felix Fernley’s greenhouse.

A fly has landed beside his Venus flytrap, and Felix has invited a curious young explorer to investigate. Inside this letter kit, children can meet four remarkable real plants, look closely at how they grow, and begin recording discoveries of their own.

What’s included

• A two-page letter from Professor Felix Fernley
• Four double-sided plant cards featuring the Venus flytrap, Cape sundew, tropical pitcher plant and living stones, with facts and labelled plant diagrams
• A greenhouse layout map
• A sheet of four plant photographs
• Felix’s completed greenhouse observation page, showing children how he records a discovery
• A blank plant observation page
• A plant sketches page
• Professor Fernley’s Plant Detective Checklist
• An Honorary Junior Botanist certificate with space to write the child’s name
• A themed envelope

This is a physical, non-personalised letter kit. The certificate is left blank so you can add the child’s name at home. Children can use their own pencil or crayons to complete the activities.
