Option 1: Elf Introduction
Hello there!
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is [Elf Name], and this year I have the very special honour of becoming your Christmas elf!
I’ve travelled all the way from the North Pole with a tiny suitcase, a pocket full of Christmas magic and a heart that’s absolutely bursting with excitement. I’ve heard wonderful things about your family, and I simply couldn’t wait to meet you.
Now, before we begin our Christmas adventure, there’s something I should tell you…
You may have heard stories about elves who spend all day sitting on shelves, quietly watching every little thing children do.
Well… that’s not me!
My job is much more exciting.
I’m here to help fill your home with laughter, kindness and magical memories. I love helping with Christmas jobs, hiding little surprises, joining in festive fun and reminding everyone that some of the very best Christmas moments happen when families spend time together.
I’ll be popping up in different places around your home during my visit. Some mornings I might be somewhere very silly, while other days I may simply be watching over the Christmas tree or waiting to help with baking, decorating or wrapping presents.
While I stay with your family, I have one very important mission.
I’d love for us to create wonderful Christmas memories together.
Perhaps we’ll decorate the Christmas tree, bake delicious treats or curl up together with a Christmas story.
Maybe we’ll share lots of giggles, lend a helping hand around the house or discover a brand-new family tradition.
Sometimes the biggest magic comes from the smallest moments.
Before I packed my tiny suitcase, all of the elves gathered for one of our favourite North Pole traditions—Lantern Night.
Each elf writes down a favourite Christmas memory or a wish for the season ahead before placing it inside a glowing lantern. As night falls, thousands of tiny lights drift into the snowy sky, filling the North Pole with hope, joy and Christmas magic.
Do you know what I wished for?
“I hope the family I’m visiting fills their home with laughter.”
I have a feeling my wish is about to come true.
I’ll be staying with your family until Christmas Eve. Then, while everyone is tucked safely in bed, I’ll quietly make my way back to the North Pole. Santa will be getting ready for the biggest journey of the year, and every elf has an important job to do before the sleigh takes flight.
Until then…
Let’s make this a Christmas to remember.
Option 2: Returning Elf
Guess who’s back?
That’s right… it’s me!
I’ve been counting down the days until I could return to your home, and I can hardly believe another whole year has passed. It feels like only yesterday I was waving goodbye as I hurried back to the North Pole on Christmas Eve.
I hope you’ve had a wonderful year.
I’ve certainly had a busy one! Life at the North Pole never slows down. There have been toys to build, sleigh runners to polish, reindeer to care for and mountains of presents to prepare. Every elf has an important job, and no two days are ever quite the same.
Although… some things never change.
I’m still absolutely hopeless at wrapping presents.
Just before I packed my suitcase, Mrs Claus asked me to help wrap a few last-minute gifts. I somehow managed to stick ribbon to my hat, lose the sticky tape and wrap my own scarf into one of Santa’s presents.
Mrs Claus just smiled and said, “Practice makes perfect! Don’t give up—you’re getting better every time you try.”
To make me feel better, she made me a great big mug of hot chocolate with far too many marshmallows. You know how much I love hot chocolate! If you ever wanted to find me at the North Pole, all you’d have to do is follow the delicious smell of chocolate.
While I was drinking it, I realised something else…
I’d lost one of my favourite red-and-white striped socks.
Again.
I searched everywhere—the workshop, the wrapping room, the reindeer stables and even under my bed—but it was nowhere to be found. I’m beginning to think my missing socks sneak off on adventures of their own!
Before I left, all of the elves gathered together for one of my favourite North Pole traditions—Lantern Night.
Each elf writes down either a favourite Christmas memory or a wish for the season ahead. We carefully place our notes inside glowing lanterns before watching thousands of tiny lights drift into the snowy night sky.
Do you know what I wrote inside mine?
“I can’t wait to visit my Christmas family again.”
And now… here I am.
I’ve often found myself wondering about you over the past year.
Have you grown a little taller?
Learned something new?
Found a new favourite book, discovered a new hobby or made a wonderful new friend?
A whole year is a long time, and I can’t wait to hear all about your adventures while we’re together again.
We’ve got another Christmas season ahead of us, filled with laughter, little surprises and magical memories just waiting to be made.
I’ll be staying with your family until Christmas Eve. Then, while everyone is tucked safely in bed, I’ll quietly make my way back to the North Pole. Santa will be preparing for the biggest journey of the year, and every elf has an important job to do before the sleigh takes flight.
Until then…
Let’s make this Christmas even more magical than the last.
